When I podcasted earlier this month with my friend Liz, she surprised me by giving me some tea from a tea shop semi-local to her in St. Joseph, Missouri – Simply Tea.  She brought me a delightful sample of Christmas Tea (and this will be the last gasp of the holiday season!)

Christmas Tea contains black tea with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, orange peel and ginger.  It is available in a variety of sizes: 2oz for $4.95, 4oz for $8.95 and 8oz for $15.95.

When I first opened the bag, I got the strong smell of ginger, and the brewed tea was delightfully gingery with a bit of the other flavors mixed in. This was definitely a little different than any of the other holiday teas I bought this year, and I really enjoyed it.  I guess I’ll have to try and check out Simply Tea the next time I head north.
