Last Saturday I was idly browsing my Instagram feed and I came upon a friend’s photo of a DIY mug that she had added knitting to:
Check out my fun travel mug! I got this idea from @jpknitknot a few months ago – I bought a mug sometime in the fall, but just got around to knitting the cozy. Perfect use for leftover sock yarn! This is some of my beloved #SweaterWeather yarn from @nomadicyarns. #knitstagram #knitting #FO #stripes #nomadicyarns #knittersofinstagram #starbucks #coffee
She noted she had gotten the idea from a friend, so I went and checked out her friend’s feed and sure enough, it was a great idea!
I immediately Googled that and found the Starbucks Stainless Steel Create Your Own Tumbler for $18.99 here.
The holidays are upon us and you could make one for yourself or for a loved one. I’ve got one winging its way to me now!
If you’re still looking for a gift for your Valentine, might I suggest a mug and some tea?
I was in Barnes & Noble last week and I saw these delightful mugs that would be perfect for you and your love:
Two weeks ago on the podcast I got to try a sample of The Republic of Tea Downton Abbey Crawley Sisters Tea which tastes of chocolate and strawberries and was delicious.
Finally, I haven’t tried it yet, but I see that Harney & Sons has a Valentine’s Blend that includes chocolate tea and rosebuds.
I love woodland creatures, but I really love the recent fascination with foxes. I love the puns even more. Here are a few items that would make your collection foxy:
I am always excited when I find ceramics that bear knitted designs because they combine my two loves: knitting and tea. Iittala’s Sarjaton collection is no exception.
A reader of the blog sent this delightful sale item to my attention: the Crafty Kitty kit from KnitPicks. The kit includes a Great Catsby mug, a white Danica teapot, a coaster and dishcloth pattern, and 8 skeins of their dishie yarn in coordinating colors. Tea and knitting all in one place!
