Knittea: DIY Mug

Last Saturday I was idly browsing my Instagram feed and I came upon a friend’s photo of a DIY mug that she had added knitting to:

She noted she had gotten the idea from a friend, so I went and checked out her friend’s feed and sure enough, it was a great idea!

The only problem I see is that I didn't make this sooner. Genius! #spunrightround #starbuckstumbler

I immediately Googled that and found the Starbucks Stainless Steel Create Your Own Tumbler for $18.99 here.

The holidays are upon us and you could make one for yourself or for a loved one. I’ve got one winging its way to me now!

Teaccessories: Jennie the Potter

I have posted about the wonderful Jennie the Potter and her fabulous handmade mugs before.  I have a small collection, which is quite impressive given how coveted they are.  Jennie vends at all sorts of knitting festivals and the lines for her wares often begin the moment the event opens.  I managed to purchase one for myself once, a few years ago, when I visited Maryland Sheep and Wool. The others I have acquired have been gifts or the once in a blue moon shop update.

Well it must have been a blue moon this week, because this beauty came to live with me today.

Knittea: Stuff You Love

Earlier this week a friend posted some delightful looking mugs from Stuff You Love. I had to go check it out for myself.  These are my favorites!

I bought this braid a few months ago because I could resist the wild colors and I loved the movie Clueless.

The Mug: As If. The Game of Mugs, $14+

Will you be my Valentine?

If you’re still looking for a gift for your Valentine, might I suggest a mug and some tea?

I was in Barnes & Noble last week and I saw these delightful mugs that would be perfect for you and your love:

Barnes & Noble, Be Mine Mug, $7.95

Barnes & Noble, I’m Yours Mug, $7.95

As for tea, I can heartily suggest David’s Tea Love Tea #7 (review here):

Two weeks ago on the podcast I got to try a sample of The Republic of Tea Downton Abbey Crawley Sisters Tea which tastes of chocolate and strawberries and was delicious.

Finally, I haven’t tried it yet, but I see that Harney & Sons has a Valentine’s Blend that includes chocolate tea and rosebuds.
